thecurrent. Solution: I = [10 * 1000] / [200 * 0.8 * 2] = 31.25 A Three phase kW to Amps Three phase kW to Amps calculations involve a ration of 1000 times kW to the power factor times voltage and an additional factor 1.73 that represents an equivalent of √3 and is added because the circuit is three phase in nature. Mathematically: I = [kW
Thenwe can choose the cable that has the current-carrying capability of 17.82 A, which is the cable with the cross-section of 1.5 mm2. Below is a table with examples of calculating 3 phase with the known kW: NO KW Voltage Ampere Safety Factor 125 % Cross Section Cable. 1 4KW 380V 7.61A 9.51A 0.75 mm².
Forthree phase motors, when HP is known: Where, Voltage: The phase-to-phase voltage for a 3-phase supply. Rating: The power rating of the motor in kW. Power factor (cosΦ): The rated power factor of the motor.
74 kw to amps. 7.6 kw to amps. 7.7 kw to amps. 7.8 kw to amps. 7.9 kw to amps.
Foralternating currents, the 6.8 kW amp transformation is different for a single phase and a 3 phase system; the power factor is needed in both cases. In case of the three-phase electrical generation, line to line voltage and line to neutral voltage require different constants to convert 6.8 kilowatts to amps, (√ 3) and 3, respectively.
Customer 7500 watts at 240 volt SINGLE phase is 31.25 amps (watts divided by volts)---7500 watts / 208 volts=36.06 times 1.732 is= 62.46 amps----shouldn't the amperage on 3 phase be lower than single phase ??? Jason : Now that I look at it again, I believe we are both misapplying the formula.
Asingle phase input invertor would be around £600 I would guess. Single 230v phase input/3 phase 230v output connected to the compressor. So it would have to be able to be connected in delta. A little design of the run signal and it should be OK. Only issue is the 8kW or so input, around 30 odd amp.

Threephase transformer with four-wire output for 208Y/120 volt service: one wire for neutral, others for A, B and C phases. Three-phase electric power (abbreviated 3φ) is a common type of alternating current (AC) used in electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. It is a type of polyphase system employing three wires (or four including an
